The Gunslinger

by Dealers Choice

/

about

The Gunslinger is song about lust, greed, fear, and regret but with the triumphant emotion and scope of a grand adventure tale.

Thought of fondly by the band as a mixture of The Allman Brothers and
Bad Company, it was born of an acoustic guitar composition written by the bands piano player and western rock aficionado Kurtis Hall.

Recorded live off the floor at the legendary Little Mountain Sound Studios in Vancouver British Columbia

"Tell me when will I change my ways"?

lyrics

Long black curtain, has fallen down
Running on empty, still running around
A shadow haunts me, from yesterday

Tell me when will I change my ways
When will I change my ways?

So I keep on running, you know I can’t slow down
I know what's coming, I gotta blow this town
If you say you love me, I’ll tell you I can’t stay

Tell me when will I change my ways
When will I change my ways?

Put my six gun deep in the ground
My saddle on the shelf
Fight my way through a final war
So I can be free… from myself

Found my religion in the eye of the storm
And for a little while, you know I felt reborn
Now I feel nothing
Honey you’ve been warned

Tell me when will I change my ways
When will I change my ways?

Put my six gun deep in the ground
My saddle on the shelf
Fight my way through a final war
So I can be free… from myself

Wayward dealings, betray an idle soul
The same confusion, just like the days of old
But this life I’m living
Has taken its toll

Tell me when will I change my ways
When will I change my ways?
