Well I was taking a rest just the the other day, I’d been working hard When some smelly drunk with a brown paper bag tried to chisel his way to my heart Nothing to spare and even if I did I wouldn’t give a red cent to you.. Too many freaks and I’m broke on civility What am I gonna do Too many freaks. Well I was taking a break just down the street, I was eating my meat and cheese When some worn-out trick with a seven inch stick, she tried to give me her love disease I never cared for a half and half, I don’t even drink caffeine.. Too many freaks and they got no decency You know its a bit obscene Too many freaks. Too many freaks in the morning paper Too many freaks on the evening news Too many freaks trying to raid my lunchbox Too many freaks trying to steal my shoes Tired of searching for a pretty face, the kind of freak that I can get behind Too many freaks that I ain’t got the time for Just about to lose my mind Too many freaks.

Given up on the nine to five, I got a rock n roll master plan Never felt so ready with the band rock steady and the magic flowing from my hands Been a long time since I’ve been on top, but now I know the feelings here to stay Feel alive when we play it loud, I need a little every day Live for the Music Take a look in the mirror when your back of the show, and say I feel alright Took a chance on the music babe, you know there's nothing that I'd rather do You sure are sweet, but you’ll never compete, don’t have to tell you what I’d choose Now its five to five with the rock n roll jive, I'm livin' like a music man It's easy to do, when the feelings true, you know you gotta take a stand Live for the Music Take a look in the mirror when your back of the show and say yeah, I feel alright Gotta get down like there’s no one around, let the music set your soul on fire Step inside and get a ticket to ride, nothings gonna take you higher You wanna lick it till your dizzy, well you better get busy, take the battle to the world's door Play to win and when your staring down sin, remember what your fighting for Live for the music Take a look in the mirror when your back of the show, yeah I feel alright

I got a feelin’ right now Like my life has just begun All the little pieces are coming together baby Sometimes you’ve got to lose before you’ve won I know its hard to say goodbye But sometimes you know you gotta love and let die I wanna tell you baby I’ll never forget it You’ll always have a place in my heart But now we’ve got to find out the hard way If this was only the start The future is open I’m looking for a place to belong A reason for living Maybe it was you all along I know the loneliness that you feel When all your fears they rage in the night Oh but I've seen the fire in you And I know you’ve got what it takes to see the light I know its hard to say goodbye But sometimes you know you gotta love and let die I wanna tell you baby I’ll never regret it You gave me hope for living again But now we’ve got to find out the hard way If this is really the end The future is open I’m looking for a place to belong A reason for living Even if its only a song I know its so hard to say goodbye But sometimes you know you gotta love and let die

Have you heard the news? Everybody’s getting busted The cops are on the take, they can't be trusted Their sittin’ down on the corner, with their cruiser lights flashing I hope your light on your feet, Cause blue's in fashion When you hear that siren sound You know you got a Downtown Shakedown Have you heard the news? Everybody’s got a secret And for the right price, nobody keeps it There are a million different ways, to lean on a suspect To get the information, the laws no object When you hear that siren sound You know you got a downtown shakedown The Streets are on fire, read it in the headlines Feel the noise and the heat, straight down the mainline The badges are out, and pushing for a showdown Taking all they can, full force lockdown That’s why you won't see me hangin’ around Waiting for a Downtown Shakedown Ah give it to me again! That’s why you won't see me hangin’ around Waiting for a Downtown Shakedown

You know I’ve been a soldier Fighting for a glance A simple twist of fortune In an endless game of chance And it's a lonesome game to play But you know I’ll never stray Till I find you I’ve had so many lovers Who only brought me pain Not so long ago I thought I’d never love again But now I feel it in my soul Been around enough to know That its magic This could be the one That I've been looking for Not just anyone This could be love Now the times are changing I see it all around No time to catch my breath Or get my feet back on the ground And then she moves across the room Nothing I can do I’m falling Nothing I can do I've gotta see it through And I’ve been waiting such a long time Now I know I’ll never be alone You give me something to believe in I’ve been around enough to know Your the one Oh your the one Ah here we go I've been around baby! Here she comes... I’ve been around enough to know I’ve been around enough to know I’ve been around enough to know I’ve been around enough to know Oh come on!

If you wanna get off well its the place to be Down here in this hole, where nothing is free And all the freaks and the fienders are paying the fee A poor mans lust, a rich mans greed Step in and kiss your money goodbye And get high The girl in the corner, she’s just eighteen A mistress for hire, a teenage queen You can mess with her fast, or play with her slow The higher the price, the further she’ll go Especially when your down in between You know what I mean? Excuse me while I whip this out... You give us a dollar, we’ll give you a dime But make no mistake, we have a good time So bring your friends and your family, and Peter and Paul And join in the party, we’re having a ball The dealer gets the choice of them all That’s alright That's alright baby...
7.
Alight baby Gonna tell you a story Everybody put your hands together You've got to move when you feel the music You've gotta love when the feelings right And all the time that you been misusing You should be shining till the morning light It’s up to you You only get one life You only get one life You only get one life Let’s have a party tonight Come on I know sometimes it can seem so tragic With all the dues that you have to pay But there will always be a little magic Listen and we'll show you the way. You know that its true It’s up to you You only get one life (you only got one life) backing vocals. x3 You only get one life You only get one life Let’s have a party tonight Lets party baby! Solo Now we got all the boys together Everybody get together now! You only get one life You only get one life You only get one life Let’s have a party tonight Come on Kurtis bring it home You got it.

Dead man walking, price on his head get a rich man high You've been talking, selling secrets to the other side But your luck is running out, wheel of fortune gonna pass you by That ain't no lie You’ve been layin’ low, took too much and the gang got wise But they caught you on Broadway, dime-store wig and a brim disguise Now your gonna feel the heat, catch a 44 right between the eyes That's no surprise Solo Dead man walking, singing for them now you’ll sing for me And if you know what's good for you, you wont look down on my charity And if you ever mess me round, tell you exactly where your gonna be Dead man walking.
9.
Your evil, or so it seems Your visions, they haunt my dreams The fire, is burning red I cant get you, out of my head For lonely days, and endless nights I play to win, but lose the fight To feel the heat, from down below I’d stone my pride, and sell my soul Your the devils child Witchcraft, black magic mage Helpless, even from the stage Black cat moan, and ravens claw Too blind, to find the final straw You cast your spell without a sound And hold me deep, down underground Where the light of love is far away And misery is here to stay Your the devils child Let me tell you all about it... Secrets, are all you keep You know just how, to make me weep For too long, you’ve told me lies Now it's high time, I said goodbye But like a fool, I played your game Now ill never be the same You said you would guide me to heavens door But you’re daddy he don’t fly no more! Your the devils child You know who you are!
